Private-to-Private Firearms Sale

We advise you and ensure a smooth and legally compliant process, whether you are the seller or the buyer.

In accordance with the current Weapons Act Regulation (§ 41f), private transfers of firearm ownership must be handled through a licensed firearms dealer if a statutory “waiting period” applies to the buyer.

Please request our information sheet at sales@springer-vienna.com and subsequently make use of our services relating to the private purchase or sale of your firearm, including waiting period requirements, secure storage, Central Firearms Register (ZWR) notifications, as well as our shooting cinema at Josefsgasse 10, 1080 Vienna, for testing the firearm and for your individual training.

Note: Upon the entry into force of the second part of the Weapons Act amendment in 2026, all private transfers of ownership of Category A, Category B, and Category C firearms must be processed exclusively through a licensed firearms dealer.
